By using Essential Branch you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, so they are short.

General information, not medical advice

Everything on this site, including articles, data tables, blend recipes and tools, is general information for adults. It is not medical, pharmaceutical or veterinary advice, and it is not a substitute for a professional who knows your health, your medicines or your animal. Do not start, stop or change a supplement or medicine, or use an essential oil on a child, during pregnancy or around pets, on the strength of this site alone. If you think you or an animal may be having a serious reaction or a poisoning, contact emergency services, your local poison control center or a veterinarian straight away.

The tools

Our calculators and lookups give estimates based on published reference values and common practice. Drop sizes vary between bottles, products vary in strength, and recommended amounts are set for healthy populations rather than individuals. Check the results before you rely on them, and use the more cautious figure when in doubt.

No warranty

We work hard to keep pages accurate and up to date, and we correct mistakes when we find them. Even so, the site is provided “as is”, without any warranty that it is complete, current or error-free, or that it will always be available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or harm arising from use of the site or reliance on its contents.

Links to other websites

We link to government agencies, research journals and other outside sources so that you can check our work. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is a citation, not an endorsement of a product or service.
